Did you ever try to open your safe, dialing your lock’s combination, and it would not open up? You rack your brain, you can swear that you are not confusing the combination’s code numbers. It is the date of your marriage anniversary, your kid’s birthday, or any other significant date in your life that you will never forget. This can cause great frustration but there is no need to lose hope! It may be a simple matter of applying the combination not accurately enough.

How is it done correctly?

The common safe lock is a 3 wheel lock. That means that it requires a three numbers combination in order to open. Here is how it is done:

Step 1: First, turn the dial left all the way through, passing 0 for 4 times and stopping at the precise first number of your combination on the fourth time.
Step 2: After finishing the former step, turn the dial 3 times but this time to the right and stop after the third time as the second number of your code lines up with the opening indicator. Here too you have to be exact.
Step 3: Now turn the dial 2 times to the left again and stop as the third number of your code lines up with the opening indicator.
Step 4: Turn the dial to the right until you feel it stop as 95 roughly lines up with the opening indicator, and voila! The safe is open!

Please note- missing the mark on any of the code’s numbers even by a little bit will cause the lock to remain locked.

This step is simple, just turn the dial to any direction 4 times all the way through but make sure that you do not stop at any one of your combination code’s numbers.

Accuracy is the key

If you reach step 4 and the dial would not stop at 95, you were probably less than accurate during the opening process and you should therefore repeat it all over again, this time with a little more accuracy…

Follow the steps again; Make sure that as you dial the combination’s numbers you stop at the exact number. Otherwise, the safe will not open.
